Northwest Airlines emerged from bankruptcy protection May 31 and said this week it earned $273 million during its second quarter before accounting boosts related to its reorganization. Northwest shares fell 52 cents or nearly 3 percent to $17.43 Tuesday. Northwest Airlines cancelled so many flights this week that they really caused a bottleneck in air travel for a great many people who are very unhappy and I can't blame them.
