Get the Shovel Out AGAIN!!!!

Is there any end to this snow? This is getting to be the longest winter ever. It reminds us of the l970's when we got snow so high it was over the telephone wires on the farm. You could barely pass another car on the road. Once we had to leave our car about halfway home and we walked up on the big piles of snow along the road because the road was drifted shut. One night we went to a basketball game in town and when we came home and turned onto our road our son said "it looked like being on the moon". Everything was solid white and high walls of snow on both sides of the road.

Dog Food

I did not realize that dogs can be allergic to certain dog foods. They can eat the same dog food for years and then all of a sudden react to it. Our little dog has been eating a very healthy dog food for a couple of years. She absolutely loves it. However, she started scratching her ears and while doing that also scratched her face. We had to put a collar on her to keep her from doing that. Now we have to change her dog food too.

Cancun All Inclusive

All my friends have taken exotic vacations where it is warm. They stay in luxurious hotels on their Cancun All Inclusive vacation and I have wanted to do that also. I think this is the year that we will make those reservations at one of the finest of Karisma Hotels. I have never been to a spa so I am considering the Azul Blue Hotel + spa. I want to be pampered like I have never been pampered before. I want to be able to sit down to gourmet meals prepared by the finest of chefs. I do enough cooking at home throughout the year that this will a very real treat to enjoy. And to lie on the warm white sand beaches and enjoy a swim afterwards. They have all the amenities we desire and the finest of accommodations. I can hardly wait to make a reservation.

Our Pet Holly

It seems Holly, our little Boston Terrier, has become alergic to her dog food. She has eaten it for several years and just loves it. However, her ears itch and her face and she rubs her face till it bleeds. We had to put a collar on her so she couldn't get at it and it is healing up. Guess we have to get a different dog food again for her.

Mail Time

It is time to go get the mail again. It is snowing lightly and has been snowing all day. I heard we are to get one to two inches again. We have so much now that they don't know where to put it. The town can haul it outside of town to a big field and dump it there. They are very good about clearing main street quickly. We appreciate that. I feel sorry for the poor mailmen though in this weather.

Wii

Christmas came and went at our house and although we did a lot of talking about getting a wii, somehow we were not able to get one. Several of our grandchildren got them and they have so much fun with them. They are good exercise, as well as, fun. I even saw on the news where they are using them in nursing homes to give the residents a chance to exercise and have some fun doing it with one.

Puppy Love

As we were growing up, we had a number of puppies. They of course, grew up into dogs and we taught them tricks. We had one that pulled us down the long drive on our sled in the winter. We loved each one of them. Here is one of our little great grandsons with the dog he loves.
