Well I never have either. But here you see our great grandson who is planning to watch this root and grow avacado. I do not know that much about them. His Mom knows lots of things and so this must be the way to start it. It will be interesting to see how and if it grows, don't you think?

Thunder and Lightning

Here it is March and we had all kinds of thunder and lightning last night. When we got up it was still pouring rain and had about a minute of tiny little hail too. Someone from a town 20 miles from us said they had a bit of snow, hail and the rain too. We are finally getting rid of our snow except for the huge piles. I know they are all ice on the bottom so that will take some really warm days to melt down. We have been seeing Robins now and the tulips are coming up so Spring is finally here.

Veterinary

Taking our little Boston Terrier, Holly to the Vet this morning. She has been drinking way too much water. She has also been losing weight. That isn't good. She plays just fine and eats good though. However, I just can hardly keep her water dish full. So we know we need to get some professional advice.

We don't want to lose her. She has been the best dog we have ever had.

Heavy Wet Snow

We got another couple inches of heavy wet snow last night. We have a little windmill in the yard and it had so much snow on it that it couldn't turn. By noon though it had melted off and was really spinning northwest. My husband blew the snow off the driveway and it is all dry now. Faucets

It seems like when one thing happens another will happen too. Our bathroom faucet is leaking some water and now the kitchen faucet is also leaking some water. It is a nuisance putting up with this and I have decided it is definitely time to get some new faucets. I have been checking out the Internet and found some great sales on name brands. How Cold Is It?

It is very cold. Was zero again this morning. Then with the wind chill, it was way below zero. You can tell it in the garage that it is very cold. We let our little dog Holly out into the garage to do her business on newspaper. It doesn't take her long to run back into the house. My husband, who is retired, just doesn't want to go anywhere on days like this.
