Temperature Changes

Wow! Did the temperatures change again! We almost got to enjoy 30 degrees when a big cold wave came through. It dropped way below zero and has stayed that way a couple of nights and even into the daytime. The sun is out and since it is closer, some of the snow on the roads is melting but you can't see how it does when it is so bitter cold outside. The winds were terrible the last two days too making for way below zero wind chills. We can hardly wait for Spring around here.

Pond Filters

We have a beautiful pond on our church property. It has a lovely gazebo on one side and adds to the property value. However, every year people from the congregation have to go out into the water and clean the pond. I checked into the Internet and found that you can get pond filters that will do a great job of keeping the pond clean. It would sure save a lot of work for everyone. We will have to investigate and see what kind we need.

San Diego Rentals

We are up to our ears in snow this year and it is below zero again right now. I am ready for Spring. However, in the meantime I believe it would be great to go out to San Diego and visit our niece. Since she has a small apartment, I have been on the Internet looking at San Diego rentals. There are a great many fine places to stay and I need to get started making a reservation and get out of this cold for awhile and enjoy sunny Southern California and the beach.

Barcode Scanner

I have had a number of jobs where I had to use a barcode scanner and I have certainly found that there can be quite a difference in the various types. I like the ones that are lightweight and scan easily. One of those I worked with was awkward and didn't want to scan properly either. I know there are many kinds of scanners and I think companies should try and get the one that fits their business the best. Employees will be much happier with a good scanner that is light weight and works well.

Joint Pain Relief

My poor husband never gets a good night's sleep. He rolls and tosses and turns in order to find a comfortable position to sleep because his joints hurt him so much. We have tried all kinds of products for joint pain relief but so far we haven't had any luck. He has even had prescriptions for his pain and they didn't work either. A good way to make money these days is to post for advertisers. You need to have a blog or several blogs and a good imagination. I think it helps if you can spell well and speak well, then you are better able to write well. I have really enjoyed doing posts on various products and trying out those products too. Now when I see them in the store, I know more about them before I buy them.

Car Prices

Are you about ready for a new car? I heard on television the other day that now is the best time to buy a new car. The dealer lots are full of cars and car prices are probably at their lowest ever. It is a good time to check into the Internet and see what kind of deals you can get. I am going to key in several brands and see what kind of prices I can come up with. When we bought our last car it was one of the last new ones from the previous year and we got the best deal ever.

Weight Loss Program

My friend has emailed me that she has joined a weight loss program. She is doing quite well with it. She gained a couple of pounds over the Holidays and is now taking them off again. There are many such weight loss programs and products out there and it is hard to know which will really work unless you investigate them. I like to check out everything on the Internet before I try something new. Sometimes one product will work for one person but not another. It is best to try and get the facts and customer reviews on products before you try them. At least, that is my opinion.

Family Trip

Tomorrow we are going on a family trip to see more family. Two of our grandchildren are in new homes since we saw them last. We want to go see our latest new great grandbaby too. And of course we will have a great visit and also go out to eat with them. We are looking forward to a great time and hope the winter weather cooperates.

Phentermine

Before you start a diet drug such as phentermine, it would be my opinion to look into it thoroughly. Because it is widely prescribed by physicians, does not mean necessarily that it is good for you. Also, it may not give you the great results that you desire. I always like to investigate the side effects of any drug before I take it. I took it several years ago for quite awhile but I found it does not work as long as the time they prescribe it for you. Your experience may be quite different. Snow Storm?

Someone just told me we were to expect 4-6 inches of snow and a nice storm this weekend. Of course, there is no such thing as a "nice" storm. It is like our weatherman keeps saying we will get a decent amount of snow. There is no such thing as a decent amount of snow as far as I am concerned. He also says it will be chilly when it is going to be downright COLD!

Get the Shovel Out AGAIN!!!!

Is there any end to this snow? This is getting to be the longest winter ever. It reminds us of the l970's when we got snow so high it was over the telephone wires on the farm. You could barely pass another car on the road. Once we had to leave our car about halfway home and we walked up on the big piles of snow along the road because the road was drifted shut. One night we went to a basketball game in town and when we came home and turned onto our road our son said "it looked like being on the moon". Everything was solid white and high walls of snow on both sides of the road.

Dog Food

I did not realize that dogs can be allergic to certain dog foods. They can eat the same dog food for years and then all of a sudden react to it. Our little dog has been eating a very healthy dog food for a couple of years. She absolutely loves it. However, she started scratching her ears and while doing that also scratched her face. We had to put a collar on her to keep her from doing that. Now we have to change her dog food too.

Cancun All Inclusive

All my friends have taken exotic vacations where it is warm. They stay in luxurious hotels on their Cancun All Inclusive vacation and I have wanted to do that also. I think this is the year that we will make those reservations at one of the finest of Karisma Hotels. I have never been to a spa so I am considering the Azul Blue Hotel + spa. I want to be pampered like I have never been pampered before. I want to be able to sit down to gourmet meals prepared by the finest of chefs. I do enough cooking at home throughout the year that this will a very real treat to enjoy. And to lie on the warm white sand beaches and enjoy a swim afterwards. They have all the amenities we desire and the finest of accommodations. I can hardly wait to make a reservation.

Our Pet Holly

It seems Holly, our little Boston Terrier, has become alergic to her dog food. She has eaten it for several years and just loves it. However, her ears itch and her face and she rubs her face till it bleeds. We had to put a collar on her so she couldn't get at it and it is healing up. Guess we have to get a different dog food again for her.

Mail Time

It is time to go get the mail again. It is snowing lightly and has been snowing all day. I heard we are to get one to two inches again. We have so much now that they don't know where to put it. The town can haul it outside of town to a big field and dump it there. They are very good about clearing main street quickly. We appreciate that. I feel sorry for the poor mailmen though in this weather.

Wii

Christmas came and went at our house and although we did a lot of talking about getting a wii, somehow we were not able to get one. Several of our grandchildren got them and they have so much fun with them. They are good exercise, as well as, fun. I even saw on the news where they are using them in nursing homes to give the residents a chance to exercise and have some fun doing it with one.
