Blowing up a Storm

We have 42 mph wind gusts today and it is blowing in warmer air. That means only one thing. Thunderstorms will be rumbling in tonight. The Rain

The rain is really coming down now in buckets. The wind is blowing so hard you can hardly hold onto your car door when you open it. Flowers in Bloom

Our flowers are really coming up now. Today it is raining and everything is really green and growing. The yellow peony tulips started blooming a couple of days ago and then the red ones also started blooming. There are two shades of red along with 4 colors of hyacinths really add to the beauty. It was that time to get my husband's teeth cleaned so we headed off to the dentist. We go to two great dentists, father and son. Changeable Weather

We have sure had the changeable weather. A week ago it was so warm we got out the fan and set it up in the living room and turned on all the ceiling fans. Veterinary Clinic

Today I took our little dog Holly to the Vet. She got her nails dremiled and a flea treatment. She also got her parvo shot for the year. She is very healthy but she got a breakout on her leg. So he gave me some antibiotics to give her twice a day to clear it up. It was time to buy more dog food too and by the time I got out of there I had spent close to $94. Wow! Trees are Budding

The trees are really budding now. We took the wire protection off our lilac bush. We had to put it around it to keep the rabbits from chewing off the bark. It almost killed it the first year we moved in but little shoots grew out of the main stalk and now we have quite a big bush again. Every year for the last couple of years, the buds have gotten frozen off and we didn't get any flowers. I hope that doesn't happen again this year as they smell so very good when they are in bloom.

Easter Dinner

We had an early Easter dinner today at our daughter and son-in-law's. All the grandchildren were home. They have 4 grandchildren now and we hadn't seen the last two 4-month olds in person yet. It Is Lady Bug Season Again!!!

Since the weather warmed up, the Asian beetles have been coming out again. I opened a south window and there were 3 of them on the curtain before I knew it. We have been catching them everywhere. They say they were brought into the USA to eat the bugs in the soybean fields but they have become a very reaon nuisance. Pictured above, though, is one little Lady Bug we just love.
