In a busy Hong Kong shopping district, an assailant hurled acid, injuring 24 pedestrians, according to Police there. What a horrifying event!! It was the third in a series of acid attacks that have hurt about 100 people. Isn't that terrible?
Police said a bottle of corrosive liquid was thrown on a crowd in the Mong Kok district on Monday. None of the victims, ages 4 to 49, was seriously burned. That is a miracle.
Hong Kong leader, Donald Tsang, condemned the attack, saying it was "cold blooded and evil" and the assailant was "scum of the society." Investigators have posted a reward for information leading to an arrest. I hope they get him.
