Puppy Love

As we were growing up, we had a number of puppies. They of course, grew up into dogs and we taught them tricks. We had one that pulled us down the long drive on our sled in the winter. We loved each one of them. Here is one of our little great grandsons with the dog he loves.

Ice Skating Without Skates

That is about what we feel like we are doing here in the frozen Midwest. We feel like we are ice skating without skates. We had a couple days of freezing rain on top of snow. That really made it slippery. Now we have had about 3 more days of rain but we have so much snow it doesn't seem to be going down any. I think it is going to be a long time till Spring and we see green grass again.

Secrets of Piano Accompaniment

When all your friends are gathered together and someone asks you to play the piano how do you feel? Are you embarrassed because you do not feel you are doing a good job of it? That is how I feel.

One of my friends will always ask me to play along with them while they sing and I do not feel that I am accomplished enough to do that. I want them to sound good and I want to do a good job of playing the piano along with their song but I am kind of at a loss as what to do.

I feel I need to check out the Internet to see if I can find a website that can show me hints on how to play along with the singer or with myself as I sing. I would just love to be able to throw in a few extra chords and spice up the music but I am not sure how to go about it.

Pizza Night

The weather outside is frightful. You could hardly see the neighbors again this morning. Everything is frozen and slippery. But we are going out for Pizza tonight no matter what. They have the best pizza and salad bar and all the trimmings to go with broasted chicken besides. They will make us the pizza of our choice and also dessert cactus bread in apple or peach. Can't wait.

Veterans Administration

We have an early morning appointment today at the V.A. My husband is a Veteran. He goes to the doctor for his prescriptions and checkups. He had a PSA blood test last week and will get the results today. Then he will see the nurse and doctor. They also have live TV from the pharmacy out of town so he can talk with the pharmacist. It is interesting.

Blizzard Conditions

All day we have been in a winter storm warning. They say we could get 5 inches of new snow or more. It started about 2 hours ago and is coming down steadily. It is very very cold so the snow is dry and fluffy. Tonight the wind is going to come up and all that snow is going to be in the air.
