Pressure Cooker

I use my pressure cooker quite a bit. When I was first married, I got two of them as wedding gifts. I was afraid to use them but an older neighbor showed me how to use them and I wouldn't be without one now. Tonight I made some pork steak and pork chops in one of my pressure cookers. In 20 minutes the meat falls apart. It is good for so many foods but I especially like it for more tough cuts of meat as it really tenderizes them. Add mashed potatoes and make gravy in the cooker pan and you have supper.

Before pressure cooking, you have to check the cooker and see if it is in excellent condition. Is the rubber gasket cracked, ripped or dried? If so, you should replace it immediately.
