Great Grandchildren

Snow in April

I just can't believe it.  The weather report has been rain and snow off and on all the month of March and now April too.  We had two beautiful days Monday and Tuesday.  I got lots of errands run.  But today it is pouring rain again.  Not only that, but tomorrow they are predicting snow.  My tulips and other perennials are up and will be covered with snow again.  One thing about it though is that the sun is closer to the earth.  It doesn't take long to melt the snow now.  That is a great advantage over the rest of the winter.  We are still waiting for Spring to get here :0).  We have been in drought for several years now so this will be a big help so I guess we really should be happy about the rain and not complain.  Get out the raincoat.

Springtime

It is supposed to be Springtime.  But you can't tell it from the weather.  We have had so much snow this month.  Now we are having heavy rains.  Everything is soaked.  The ground is still frozen so the water stands everywhere.  I had to wear my raincoat out to get the paper this morning.  Wore my hood and boots too as the rain was really coming down hard.  Now it has finally stopped and there for a second I thought the sun was going to come out, but it didn't.  Hope May is warmer.

Rain Storm

At last we are getting Spring rain.  We are also having thunder and lightning.  There is a great deal of wind with it too.  The sky is really dark so may rain all day.  We need the rain to settle all the winter dirt.  Will get rid of the last of the snow piles.  Tulips are up and will be happy to have rain after the beautiful sunshine yesterday.  We have been in drought for a long time so the rain is very welcome.

Easter Fun

I went to my grandson's home for Easter dinner.  There was all kinds of delicious food.  I got to see some Robins on the way.  They haven't reached our yard yet.  We still have some snow and it is is only 21 degrees.  After we had dinner, the great grandchildren hunted for Easter eggs in the house. It was too wet and cold outside to do that outside.  They had great fun finding them.  We had a wonderful breakfast at church first and then a musical service, communion and message from our Pastor.  It was a fun day.
