A potential combination of Borders Group Inc. and rival bookseller, Barnes & Noble Inc. would face numerous obstacles. Analysts predicted on Wednesday they would face the challenge of reducing a long list of overlapping stores to antitrust concerns from regulators. The Wall Street Journal, citing a person familiar with the situation, said Barnes & Noble had assembled a team to study the possibility of acquiring Borders. It seems like today companies are buying up other companies left and right. I like to buy books at Barnes & Noble. I would hate to see our store close due to this if it comes to pass.
