It has been found that exercise is no magic cure for heart failure. Exercise can do a lot of good for most people, but it apparently isn't much help to those with heart failure. Heart failure is the fastest growing heart problem in the United States.
They have done the largest ever study of exercise in patients whose hearts don't pump enough blood and it left doctors disappointed. The results were reported Tuesday at an American Heart Association conference. Although for certain people, there were some encouraging trends and clear benefits, exercise failed to deliver on the main goal. That is keeping heart failure patients out of the hospital and improving their survival rates. Hopefully, they will find another way to help these patients since the numbers seem to be growing.
