A new book is out entitled 'Appreciative Coaching: A Positive Process for Change', and it has been co-authored by Capella University Faculty Member, Sara Orem. She is a faculty member in the online university's School of Business and Technology. This book uses positive questions, mindfulness, and other tools to acknowledge the strengths of individuals and affect change. According to recent developments in psychology and organizational development, it would suggest that people and organizations both flourish if they focus on human ideals, achievements, and the best practices. Coaching guides the reader through four stages. They are Discovery, Dream, Design and Destiny. These can inspire the reader to an appreciative and empowering view of themselves and their future. The book is actually written for individual coaches of executives and managers, the ones who do the one-on-one work with people who can influence and create change in their businesses.
