Valentine's Day

Saturday, February 14, will be Valentine's Day. Will you be buying flower, jewelry, candy or something else for your Valentine? I think it is a commercial Holiday thought up by people in order to sell more stuff for that day than they would ordinarily. I don't have a Valentine any more and I miss him. We never did really celebrate Valentine's Day very often. I was talking to someone this morning that said the same thing. They don't do anything special for that day. Others go out for a steak supper or something like that. It is fun for those who do celebrate Valentine's Day.

For a long time now, I have been looking for a good business I could operate out of my home and be my own boss. What is your favorite candy bar or is it just chocolate, anything chocolate? Chocolate seems to be everyones' favorite and now they found that dark chocolate has health benefits. I always knew there was a reason I liked dark chocolate so much. But I like alot of other candy too. Lady Godiva chocolates are some of the best.

Cinnamon Red Hots

Do you like Cinnamon Red Hot candy? We really like the individually wrapped pieces and keep some in the car. When you are driving a distance, it is nice to have something pleasant to put in your mouth as it always seems like you get dry and thirsty. We also like to keep wintergreen lifesavers in the car too.

Easter Eggs

When I think of Easter Eggs, I think of Cadbury. It seems like everone has eaten one of their Cadbury Easter eggs. But this company also owns the U.S.unit that makes 7-up, Dr. Pepper and Snapple soft drinks. Cadbury Schweppes PLC is planning to close 15 percent of its candy factories by 2011. This will cut about 7,500 jobs and will likely sell the U.S. unit that makes the soft drinks mentioned above. The company had announced it planned to separate its drinks and candy businesses. Now it appears they will sell the beverage business.
