Colorado Fires

The fires are burning out of control out west. And there are so many of them. Our grandson was married above Estes Park and I heard this morning that a number of structures have been burned near there and sounds like it getting closer to Estes Park. My cousin lives in Denver and she said the winds are spreading the sparks and there seems to be no stopping the fires. They are burning in several States out west. He was married on June 9, and I think it was just in the nick of time. Scary.

Athens Suburb Fire Under Control

Firefighters tackling a blaze in the northern suburbs of Athens say the flames have been brought under control and are no longer threatening homes. Four simultaneous forest fires broke out on Penteli mountain on Thursday and swept down into affluent suburbs some 12 miles from the city center. Dozens of homes were destroyed and at least 10 people were taken to the hospital with breathing problems. Officials say they suspect the fires were the work of arsonists.
