Rebuilding Old Trailer
Our next door neighbors bought an old trailer. They gutted it inside and out. Her Dad has done this many times and is quite expert at it. It looked pretty bad when they moved it in but the outside is completely redone and the roof . It has all new windows and really looks great. They are starting to paint the inside now and I know they are getting really excited to get it done and move in. They will have 4 bedrooms and 2 baths, compared to 3 bedrooms and 2 baths in the very old trailer. Once they are moved in, they will pull the old one away and destroy it. What a nice change that will be for the neighborhood.

Remodeling Mobilehome
The neighbors bought a used large mobilehome. Their family has grown so much that their old home was too small for them. 3 out of 4 kids are teenagers and they were really in need of more bedrooms. There are lots of workers out there who have torn it apart and they are renewing it. They are at the stage outside of putting in the new windows. Then they will side it all and start on the inside. It is a really big job but will sure be nice when it is finished.

Headstart Bus
The little yellow Headstart Bus is driving up now every morning to pick up the little 3 year old next door. She has cried for the last two mornings but I am sure once she gets to school she has a very good time. I used to be a bus aide for Headstart and watched the kids that were on my bus grow up. Many of them don't remember me anymore but I remember them and it is fun to see the little 4 yr old boy, now 6' tall and working in the local Pizza Ranch. It is always fun to run into one of my "little" kids as now they are practically grown.

The Neighbor's Cats
The neighbors have two cats named Ely and LC. Funny names aren't they? They got them both from a shelter and they both needed good homes. They have an excellent loving family taking care of them now. LC is older and sleeps a lot but Ely is full of it. You have to watch him because when the weather isn't too hot or cold, he will make a dash for the outside. I am going to feed them and make sure their litter box is ok while the neighbors go on vacation. Ely spills his water sometimes but they make very little mess and are really good cats.

Neighbors
Neighbors can be good and bad. We have some we never see, some we wonder how they provide for their family when they don't seem to work much, if at all. Some spend their days running back and forth for coffee and running uptown. Others are hauling their kids to the swimming pool in this hot weather and we have a beautiful new pool or I should say "aquatic center." Then there are those who work all day and stay pretty much to themselves at night as I am sure they are worn out, especially in this heat. And then there are the neighbors who are good friends and would do anything for you and bring you fresh vegetables out of their garden and you like to take them fresh baked goods. It takes all kinds to make a world.
