Jack Hackman, Producer

Jack Hackman, well known actor and producer was in Iowa Falls last week.  They had a red carpet grand opening of the refurbished Metropolitan Theater and ticket to "Prisoners" sold for $100 each. It was a great fund raiser for the local hospital in Iowa Falls, Iowa.  He is also famous for "Wolverine".  Everyone was delighted to talk with him and get his autograph.  He really loved Iowa Falls, and there is talk of his possibly buying a home there.  He brought his family and enjoyed taking his sons fishing while there.  A good time was had by the entire town.

Jordanian Prison Head Dismissed

Jordanian authorities have sacked the head of a prison where inmates deliberately injured themselves during a recent visit by Human Rights Watch. More than 100 inmates hurt themselves with ceramic tiles in Sunday's protest. A police spokesman said Majid Rawashda, director of the Swaqa Correctional and Rehabilitation Center had violated its code on the treatment of prisoners.
