Holly's Visit to the Vet

When we take a trip we board our little dog, Holly, at the Veterinary. They love her there and she is such a good dog. They give her treats, of course and spoil her so sometimes, she would rather stay there and eat treats than come back home :0) She spent 3 days there and had a good time. However, when she got home, she was so excited, she just ran and ran around the house. She was happy to be home again with us. Now she is asleep here by my computer.

Boarding Holly at the Veterinary

We took a short vacation and boarded Holly at the Vets. When we got back, we were in for a surprise, because not only did we have to pay for boarding, but we also had to pay for what I felt was a very expensive shot. The reason is that this Veterinary is now a safe haven for lost and rescued pets and they can have diseases and respiratory problems that your dog can pick up. Not only that but in a month, Holly had to have a follow-up shot they say will last a year. After paying for her nails to be trimmed, flea and tick treatment,a new bag of dog food, boarding (and I took her own food) and that shot it was $90. Ouch! I am going to find out tomorrow if this is going to be a yearly shot she will have to have just to go to this Vet. If so, I may be changing Vets.

Boarding our Dog

We boarded our dog for 3 days and they treated her so well. She was so happy to see me though when I picked her up, she was running and dashing around. She is out like a light now in a favorite chair sleeping like a rock. I bet other dog's barking kept her awake more than she was used to as she sleeps alot during the day at home. She is a Boston Terrier and the best dog we have ever had. She is about 21 lbs and 11 years old. I hate seeing her get old as would like to keep her the rest of our lives. It is too bad pets don't live longer.
