Good food

My daughter is trying new recipes.  This one was a big hit.  Very tasty and she shared some with me.  I really appreciate her cooking as I don't do much cooking for myself anymore.  I microwave a lot of things and also eat out now and then.  It is nice to have something different to try.  And it is really good when it is tasty.

Chuck E Cheese

This seems to be the favorite of all kids.  Here grammy and grandpa are having a ball with some of their grandkids.  It is always so much fun to stay with grandparents.  They love to spoil the kids and it is so much fun.  Good food too is always a joy.  The grandkids look forward to spending as much time as possible with their grandparents.

Birthday Party

I was invited next door to their son's 16th birthday. I remember mine so well. I got my driver's license as soon as I turned 16 and have been driving ever since without receiving a ticket. He was quite excited to get cards with money for gas for the car he got when he turned 16. He gives his sisters a ride to school now and often back home too. I know they are happy not to have to ride the bus anymore. They are all growing up so fast. It was fun to go over and have good food and visit with old friends I hadn't seen in a while. I think that is the last birthday party now for this year.

BBQ

Saturday we are going to my brother's friend's house for a BBQ. My sister is driving up for it too. I am making potato salad and pie. Lola and my brother are furnishing several kinds of meats. My brother says he is making his famous baked beans. I think my sister is bringing a fruit salad. It sounds real good. Hopefully, his daughter can get off work and join us too. Hope the weather is good. It was good this weekend.

It's Been a Great Day

It has been a great day for me to get some work done around the house. I vacuumed and cleaned the stairway carpet outside and vacuumed the inside of the car. It really needed it, bad. Then I cleaned the bathrooms and swifter dusted all the floors. I made a good lunch and a great pork chop supper with mashed potatoes and gravy and vegetables. We had fresh sliced tomatoes that the neighbor brought over. They are so good this time of the year. I also went out and filled up the finch feeder as the goldfinch are returning again. We haven't seen many for a couple of weeks. They are so beautiful and have such a pretty song. It's fun to feel like you have accomplished something for a change after working hard all week on the job.
