New Crops
A couple weeks ago already, the little corn could be seen coming up in rows. It made me feel sad because that was one thing my deceased husband loved to see. He loved to ride somewhere and see the new little crops coming up. The fields are almost entirely green in places. It won't be long and it will be way above knee high by the 4th of July this year.

How Cold Is It?
It is very cold. Was zero again this morning. Then with the wind chill, it was way below zero. You can tell it in the garage that it is very cold. We let our little dog Holly out into the garage to do her business on newspaper. It doesn't take her long to run back into the house. My husband, who is retired, just doesn't want to go anywhere on days like this.

The Dishwasher
I can hear my husband from my office, putting away the clean dishes out of the dishwasher. I don't know why many people don't mind packing the dishwasher and letting it do the dishes, but somehow they hate to put them away. I have gotten so I like to put them away before I go to bed, make the coffee and lay things out for the next day. I have been busy tonight and I am sure glad he is helping me out.

Man, 24, loses 82 year old Wife
An 82 year old Argentine woman who attracted media attention last month when she married a 24 year old man has died as a result of heart problems. Adelfa Volpes was admitted to the hospital soon after she and her new husband, Reinaldo Waveqche, returned from their honeymoon in Brazil. She died in a sanatorium in Santa Fe, the city where the couple were married. Ms. Volpes had rejected criticism over the age difference with the groom, who is the son of one of her best friends. Their love is said to have blossomed when he went to live with his future bride after his mother's death when he was 15.
