Carlos O'Kellys

This is my most favorite Mexican food restaurant. My kids invited me to join them tonight and they bought supper. It was absolutely great as usual and brought home some delicious left overs. Went shopping in Wal-Mart inbetween going to my sister-in-laws retirement party. They had a very nice party for her, a beautiful cake and snacks. Gave her a lovely plaque she can hang on the wall. Got to see her office too.

Anniversary Supper

We had our belated anniversary supper tonight. Good friends took us to a new Mexican restaurant about 20 miles from home. We had some really good food and fellowship. Tried a new stir fry type platter that was excellent and have enough for lunch tomorrow. Weather was perfect, 70 degrees and lots of sunshine. We love Mexican food and will be going again one of these days to another favorite Mexican restaurant we especially love above all the rest.

Mother's Day

For Mother's Day, I was taken out for the best Mexican supper tonight at my favorite place. Our kids are the best kids, although they are grownups now with grandchildren. They will always be kids to us. We had a really good time and a great visit and I got a beautiful Mother's Day card with wonderful thoughts on it and a gift. We really had a great time. We drove home in a rain storm and when we got home, it hadn't rained a drop in our town.

Soft Shell Tacos

Tonight is the night we go out to our favorite restaurant for Mexican. They have individual items as well as platters with beans and rice. Some of their individual items are quite filling and we often order those by themselves. Last week I had soft shell tacos and boy were they good. I am thinking about having them again tonight. Two of them is just about right and leaves you comfortably full. I can hardly wait.

Mexican Food

Tonight we are going out for Mexican food. We haven't been out there for nearly a month due to my surgery. Today our favorite waitress dropped in to visit us. She said she would but we never really thought she would. We have a great visit and she brought me a neat get well card. She said she almost came tomorrow and brought Tex Mex but she thought it wouldn't keep very well overnight. She was happy to hear we would be there to eat and see her tonight. She has a cute little 4 year old daughter.

Mexican Fiesta

I feel like I am going to a Mexican Fiesta tonight when I go to supper at Carlos O'Kellys restaurant. They have the best Mexican food ever. And they challenge their chefs to come up with new dishes all the time. Their fried ice cream is the very best around, as well, but they are coming up with new and different ice cream desserts. They bring your favorite drinks in huge glasses. Ours, of course, is Pepsi and I love their Pepsi with grenadine. It is the best. Enchiladas San Carlos are my favorite with two kinds of sauces and Spanish rice and refried beans. And then they add a little lettuce with some special little tidbits on top that you don't see anywhere else. No fish fry for us tonight - it's Mexican all the way. Yay!

Mexican Supper

Tonight was our weekly trip to the Mexican supper at a restaurant south of us a few miles. We love almost everything they have from the burritos to the enchiladas. My husband likes the super burrito with no ripe olives and it is stuffed with meat and beans and cheese sauce over the top and lots of salsa. I have been having the chicken enchilada the last couple of times with olives, sour cream, salsa and rice and lettuce. Yum Yum.
