90 Degrees

It went from cold to hot in 24 hours. We had a little thunder this morning and just a bit of rain and then the thermometer started climbing. It is now 90 and very humid. The air conditioning is running all the time just to keep it down to 74. Our neighbors had problems with their brand new air conditioner and I really feel sorry for them. They had to wait 2 weeks for a part. I bet they are glad they got it running this morning.

Hot August

It was supposed to be cooler today. So we opened all the windows. We thought it would be nice to have some fresh air for a change. But now it must be 90 in the house and the humidity is unbearable to me. But tonight it is supposed to get down to 54 so it should really cool off. I sure hope so. Will be sleeping on top of the sheets until it does cool down. That is for sure.

Stormy Weather

They say there are some thunder storms to the north of us. It is no wonder as it was 90 on our deck yesterday. We turned the air conditioner on again after having it off for a week. We have run it all summer, it has been so hot. It sounds like we will have rain this afternoon and maybe tonight. It will interrupt the harvest but I am sure we need the rain anyway. It dries off fast this time of the year. The wind is always blowing.
