Snow Storm?

Someone just told me we were to expect 4-6 inches of snow and a nice storm this weekend. Of course, there is no such thing as a "nice" storm. It is like our weatherman keeps saying we will get a decent amount of snow. There is no such thing as a decent amount of snow as far as I am concerned. He also says it will be chilly when it is going to be downright COLD!

Get the Shovel Out AGAIN!!!!

Is there any end to this snow? This is getting to be the longest winter ever. It reminds us of the l970's when we got snow so high it was over the telephone wires on the farm. You could barely pass another car on the road. Once we had to leave our car about halfway home and we walked up on the big piles of snow along the road because the road was drifted shut. One night we went to a basketball game in town and when we came home and turned onto our road our son said "it looked like being on the moon". Everything was solid white and high walls of snow on both sides of the road.

Wisconsin Family Visit

We are looking forward to having family come through here from Wisconsin this week. They plan on pulling their trailer to Arizona for the worst of the winter. They have had a great deal of snow already in Wisconsin and hopefully the roads won't be as icy as they were last year when it is time for them to head to Iowa. We always go out with them for a great Mexican meal as they don't have any good Mexican restaurants where they live.

Wash the Car!

Boy is our car dirty. My husband purposely ran through a huge lake of water on the road to "wash" off some of the dirt underneath the car. Get some of the salt off the bottom. Well now it is twice as dirty on top. You can hardly see out the side windows decently and the windshield was a mess. Thank the Lord for windshield wipers and washers. And now it's too cold to wash the car because all the doors will freeze. You just can't win in the wintertime in this State.
