Sweet Corn

We had the best sweet corn yet for supper tonight. Our son called and said as he traveled from Springfield, Mo. to Iowa, he saw corn fields so dried up from lack of rain that they looked like they do in the fall when they are ready to pick. I love the television programs CSI Miami, CSI, CSI New York. I have started watching many of the Law and Order programs too because now the re-runs have started. NCIS is a big favorite of mine along with NCIS Los Angeles. And you can't leave out Rookie Blue either. As you can see I love crime shows. On Saturday night, we like to watch COPS and we are very disappointed that they took off America's Most Wanted. I don't know whose idea that was, but it was a bad idea. They caught a lot of criminals that were on the Most Wanted lists including No. 1 criminal just a couple weeks ago.

Family Dog

Our family dog was a little Boston Terrier named Holly. We got her when she was a tiny pup. She was different in that she had an all white face and one blue and one brown eye. She trained very quickly and learned all kinds of little tricks. She would dance on her hind feet for a treat and several other tricks. She loved company and wanted to play with everyone. But then she got liver problems and she got listless and slept alot and finally got so she didn't want to eat her regular food anymore. We took her to the Vet yesterday and had her put to sleep out of kindness and love for her. We miss her.
