Party Time

It has been quite a time of birthdays for our great grandchildren. We have quite a few that were born in November and December. Here are a couple of them enjoying opening gifts. It was just like an early Christmas. I don't know how the grandparents can find something new to buy for Christmas presents after all the Birthday presents the kids received. They sure had fun though.

Party Time

Our neighbors celebrate every family birthday. It go to be too much so they started combining two birthdays together at one time. I see they are moving in tables and chairs today so it must be a double birthday celebration again today. It is nice to see families getting together this way. All the grandparents come and they all sit outside and BBQ hamburgers and hot dogs and have a good time. They also have games they play and have a great time.

New Calendars

I went to the bank this morning and picked up two new calendars. I decided it was time to get ready for 2010. I like to copy my birthdays and other important events onto the new calendar. It takes some time, but it is worth it. It always takes me some time though to get up the ambition to tackle the job :0). However, this afternoon, I got it all done and it is ready to go and that's a good feeling.

Grandchildren

We were able to spend some time the last two days with a number of our grandchildren and children. It was not a happy occasion that we attended. It was the funeral of a good Christian man though and we know he is happy in Heaven today. Our grandaughter's birthday is tomorrow and she will be 22 so we gave her a call tonight. We called tonight as she will be in college tomorrow and hard to get hold of. One of our grandsons turned 23 last Wednesday and they are all so tall. I am so very short so you can really see a difference when I stand next to 6 ft grandsons and I am 4 ft 8 inches. Well that's the long and the short of it for now.

Birthdays

Our granddaughter turned 30 on the 13th and my little sister turned 63 on the 15th. It is hard to believe so many years have passed us by so fast. I had a very good visit with my brother on Saturday. I don't get to just sit down and visit very often and it was a great day to do it. Also went to my 89 year old friend, Rose's on Sunday afternoon and sat and had tea with her and we visited about the olden days. She remembers a lot about those days. She was sure glad to see me.
