My Birthday

I had a great birthday. I started celebrating the day before by shopping for new New Balance shoes that I wear all the time. Then I went to Perkins and had my favorite blueberry pancakes with whipped cream. Then I did more shopping at the Fareway store on my way home. I picked up a few favorites I can't get at home. It was a beautiful sunny day and I had a wonderful time. Then on my Birthday, I went to the wedding of friends at our church and they had a beautiful wedding and a wonderful buffet. It was another gorgeous sunny day. On Sunday, I attended church and then took in the movie "Jersey Boys", however, I thought the language was awful. I celebrated with supper at the Pizza Ranch. They not only have great pizza but wonderful broasted chicken and potatoes, mashed potatoes and gravy and a huge salad bar.

Colorado Mountains

We went to our grandson's wedding in Estes Park last week. It was such a beautiful drive up to where they were married. They were the first couple to be married in this new wedding place. It was so much fun and little hummingbirds were flying around right in front of them to the flowers while they were being married. It was amazing.

I am really excited about my grandson's wedding. It is going to be in a most beautiful place. The trip itself will be wonderful. Will be a real vacation to me. I am excited to see mountains again. It has been many years since I was there. I have one cousin living there but otherwise, most of the family have passed on. It should be beautiful weather too.

Egypt Wedding Boat Sinks in Nile

A boat carrying hundreds of celebrating wedding guests has sunk in the River Nile south of the Egyptian capital of Cairo. The vessel, which was moored in the town of Beni Suef, tilted and went down as people sang and danced. Man were rescued after jumping into the Nile. Dozens of others were not immediately accounted for but police later said they thought all were safe. At least six people were injured and taken to the hospital.
