Family Fun

Had a good time yesterday with familly.  There was so much food and all the women made every kind of Christmas cookie and candy.  If you went away hungry it was your own fault.  There was 8 little ones 6 and under running around.  At times, you couldn't hear yourself think but that didn't last long and they were off to play downstairs with toys.  Everyone was busy with their cameras taking pictures.  I got to hold my newest great granddaughter for the first time.  She is a month old and a real cutie. A good time was had by all.

New Baby Great Grandaughter

Since I last wrote, I gained a beautiful new baby great granddaughter.  She is the first for her parents so they are really happy.  They are enjoying the baby sooo much.  That makes 17 great grandchildren for me now.  What a blessing.

The new baby is a joy for all. Little brother and sister sure love to kiss and hug him too.

New Great Grandson

Every baby is special. However, when they are part of your family, they are extra special. At least we think so. Little sister just received a little baby brother Monday. We gained a great grandson and are so happy for his parents. He's going to be a charmer, that's for sure. Congratulations to the happy parents.

Exciting Day

This is a big day. We are patiently waiting now for the arrival of our No. 7 great grandchild. He or she should be here in another hour and a half approximately. It is very exciting. No one knows if this one will be a boy or girl. The parents want it to be a surprise so it will be and a happy one either way.

New Baby

Yeah! We have a new baby great grandaughter born last night. Her name is Kaelyn Sue and she weighed 7 pounds 9 1/2 ounces. Mother and daughter are doing fine. She is 20 1/2 inches long and has very dark hair like her daddy. Grandaughter was in labor 22 hours and they finally took the baby c-section. Good thing they did as the cord was wrapped around the baby's neck. We are anxious to see her and her folks.

Labor Pains

Well it looks like the labor pains are finally beginning to start. Last night my grandaughter was have quite a few labor pains and that little baby may be on the way today. It is really exciting. One day your daughter is having your grandaughter and the next day the grandaughter is having her baby. It seems to go that fast. I was a grandmother at 40 so my daughter is making up for lost time by having two grandchildren due at the same time. Maybe by tonight or tomorrow I can write about the new addition to our family.

Texas Trip

Our daughter and her husband are expecting grandbabies any minute. One of them is in Texas and she was due yesterday so I am sure they are on pins and needles waiting to hear when the little boy is born. His name will be Emry and they will go to Texas for a visit as soon as the baby arrives. It doesn't take too long to drive there from here so they can take our baby gift along with them in the car. It is all pretty exciting.

What a wonderful idea. This company has come out with the greatest website baby shop for new parents and those expecting to be new parents. We had five children and lots of questions and we didn't always live near friends and relatives who could give us advice about what to do with 2 am feedings, what clothing to buy, what furniture.
