Bash on the Farm

This is a big weekend. It is Bash on the Farm weekend. Three miles out south of our town on a farm, these folks have some 40 bands coming for Friday afternoon and night and all day Saturday and Saturday night. There is music to suit everyone. There is plenty of food, games for the kids too. Expecting over 3000 or more this year. This is the 10th year for the Bash. Don't miss it.

Learning to Spell

Children have so much more at their disposal to play with and learn at the same time. Here our little great granddaughter, who is three years old, is already learning to spell some words. She has spelled out MOM and DAD. I think by the time she starts school she will know a lot more than I did when I started school. Her Mom is a good teacher too.

The Black Hills of South Dakota

Our grandsons went to the Black Hills about 2 weeks ago. This is just one of the gorgeous pictures they took. I can see why they love to go there. It is very beautiful country.

I remember when we went to Mt. Rushmore. I just stared and stared because I could not believe I was seeing something out of the History books. It was really neat.

90 Degrees

It went from cold to hot in 24 hours. We had a little thunder this morning and just a bit of rain and then the thermometer started climbing. It is now 90 and very humid. The air conditioning is running all the time just to keep it down to 74. Our neighbors had problems with their brand new air conditioner and I really feel sorry for them. They had to wait 2 weeks for a part. I bet they are glad they got it running this morning.
