Evening Out

We are going out to supper tonight at one of our favorite restaurants. We have a great gift certificate for our meal. We received several certificates for our 60th anniversary and we are enjoying them immensely. I enjoy getting out of cooking for an evening. It is always nice to have someone else prepare a good meal and then you can get up and walk out without having any dishes to wash. It is always fun to go out and have something you wouldn't cook at home. I love that.

Gift Certificates

We love receiving gift certificates to our favorite restaurants. We got a number of them for our 60th anniversary and are enjoying them immensely. Our local Pizza ranch sent us one this week for 2 free buffets so we are going there tonight for supper. I love their big salad bar and they have a big selection of pizzas, broasted chicken and potatoes and also mashed potatoes, gravy and a hot vegetable. All the kids who come in head for the macaroni and cheese. Isn't it funny how kids love mac and cheese? They will pass up everything else to get to it. I like it too though.

Fish Fry Tonight

We found a new place close to home where we can go for Friday night fish fry. Not only that but it is a new restaurant with a full menu so you can have anything you want. They serve fish all day so you don't just have to go at night. They have huge cinnamon rolls that looked like something I would like to buy and bring home for breakfast tomorrow. The weather has straightened out. The fog is gone. The rain quit but it is so hot and humid now. But at least it is good weather for going out to eat.

Tex Mex Night Tonight

We are going out for Tex Mex tonight. I have been thinking about it all day. Trying to decide which dish I am going to have. You have a number of choices so you can have something different every time you go there. The waitress is a special friend and she is always glad to see us and misses us if we skip a week. It is nice to know you have friends when you go there that you see regularly. It is a beautiful sunny day today and great weather for traveling a little ways from home.

Restaurants

We like to try new Mexican restaurants. This weekend we had a family get together and went to a new one. It was quite an experience. It was also fish fry night and the fish left something to be desired. The Mexican was different too and the cheese sauce would have made good wallpaper paste. The salsa was so thin you could see through it. The poor waitress had quite a time of it as the cook lost one of the orders and one couple didn't get their meal and we were all ready to leave. Needless to say, we won't go back there and will go to our favorite place the next time we want good Mexican or American too.

Restaurants

There are so many restaurants, but like everyone else, we have our favorites. One of our favorites is Carlos O'Kellys that serve more of an American Mexican and we just love it. They have the best chips and dips both salsa and cheese dip. I love their chicken enchiladas with two kinds of sauce. Wash it down with ice cold Pepsi and take home the leftovers. Yum Yum Will have a great lunch out of those leftovers.

This is a wonderful website Montreal Restaurants where you can see the restaurant before you go there. You can study their menus and decide if this is really the right type of restaurant you wish to visit and have dinner. I love seeing the dining room of the restaurant I choose on the website and I understand this website allows restaurants to post coupons,newsletters and even invitations and more on their site. They are expanding to include more than just Montreal also. Soon you should be able to see various restaurants all over the world. It is user friendly for the restaurants to log on and edit their location information, pictures and writeups to mention a few things. Log in yourself and check out the listings of restaurants presently listed and I am sure you will be charmed by all you can learn before you make a reservation at a restaurant. That is what I am going to do.
